The gentle option straight from Pontneddfechan village — an easy riverside there-and-back up the Afon Pyrddin to Sgwd Gwladys (Lady Falls), a 7 m curtain you can walk behind. Woodland path along the river; narrow and muddy in places, so decent footwear helps.

Park at the Waterfalls car park by The Angel in Pontneddfechan. Extend it into the fuller Elidir Trail by carrying on to the Sgwd Ddwli (Gushing Falls) if you want more.
